One-to-one relocation guidance
Settling-in and Anmeldung session
A personal review of your address-registration documents and the practical tasks surrounding your first weeks in Germany.
Who this is for
This session suits people who have recently arrived in Germany or will collect their keys within the next six weeks. It is especially useful if you are renting, subletting, moving with a partner, or trying to understand how Anmeldung fits beside banking, health insurance and residence matters.
What we cover
We start with your move date and housing arrangement. Together we review the documents commonly relevant to address registration: identity documents, the completed registration form, and the Wohnungsgeberbestätigung supplied by the person providing the accommodation. We then map appointment options and likely next steps after the registration certificate is issued.
You receive:
- a 90-minute private consultation in English;
- a checklist adapted to your household and accommodation;
- a review of non-sensitive document details you choose to share;
- a written action recap within one working day;
- one follow-up email for clarification within seven days.
Boundaries
The session does not guarantee an appointment or a decision by a public authority. It does not include immigration legal advice, tax advice, certified translation, representation at the Bürgeramt, or completion of documents on your behalf. Requirements can vary by municipality and circumstances; official authority guidance remains decisive.
How it works
- Send an inquiry. Share your arrival date, city and broad housing situation—never upload identity documents through the contact form.
- Confirm the scope. We reply within one working day with available times and tell you what to have nearby.
- Meet. Join by video or visit the Berlin office. Bring questions, lease information and any landlord confirmation already received.
- Use your recap. Follow the prioritised list and official links sent after the call.
Preparation
Before the session, note the exact spelling of household members’ names, your move-in date, municipality, type of tenancy and whether you have received a Wohnungsgeberbestätigung. Redact document numbers if sending screenshots by email.
Timing and fee
The session lasts 90 minutes and costs €145 including VAT where applicable. Online appointments are available throughout Germany; office sessions take place in Berlin. See the fees and cancellation details before confirming.
The next step
Send your dates and city and we will suggest a suitable appointment. If your question requires a lawyer, tax adviser or immigration authority, we will say so before booking.
