Client experiences
Arrival stories, not star ratings
Specific accounts of document questions, appointment preparation and first-month decisions.
“Our sublet started before we landed, and I could not work out which date belonged on the form. Jonas did not guess—he showed us where the city wording applied and marked the point to confirm with our host. We walked into the appointment knowing what we could answer.”
— Mateo and Lucía, settling in Neukölln
“The call was dense, and I needed to reread the recap the next morning. That written order was the useful part: landlord confirmation first, Bürgeramt second, then the bank address update.”
— Sam, researcher from Manchester
A move with two addresses
Nadia arrived in Berlin for a new role and spent three weeks in a furnished apartment before moving to a long-term flat. Her concern was not a lack of information; it was deciding which information belonged to each address.
During a pre-arrival check, we separated questions for the temporary host from documents needed later, identified the official district page to monitor and built a timeline around the second key handover. No appointment could be promised. The value was avoiding a folder full of duplicate forms and knowing what to request at each stage.
“I appreciated hearing ‘this needs the Bürgeramt to confirm’ instead of receiving a confident but shaky answer. The session helped me ask a much better question.”
— Nadia, product designer from Toronto
